Job description
Protocol Education is currently seeking a Registered Manager for a small children’s home in Leicestershire.

Our client provides integrated Residential Care Education and Therapy to young people with Emotional and Behavioural difficulties.

You will undertake the Registered Managers post of a 3 bed children’s home and will work with the education and therapy services to ensure a therapeutic care package is provided to all young people.

About the Role: -

You will take responsibility for the overall management of the home ensuring you have excellent communication skills and the ability to offer diversity to your role in respect of leading by example and demonstrating a detailed, professional and knowledge understanding of the day to day operations of the home.

The registered manager will recruit, train and develop staff, will ensure the home is fully compliant with the Ofsted framework, Childrens Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.

You will have responsibility for meeting budget requirements through efficient methods and maintaining a commercial awareness.

You will ensure the highest standards of care are maintained which are consistent with the requirements of the placing authorities and organisational polices and you will work closely with other agencies and professionals.

The Successful Applicant will need:-

Experience working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties and knowledge of childcare legislation including Safeguarding and Child Protection.

A NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care - Caring for Young People or equivalent, and two years relevant experience at Senior Level or above and currently must hold an Assistant Manager or Managers position. A level 5 Diploma is desirable but not essential as training and development is provided.
