Receptionist and Admin Support

I am working with a mainstream secondary school in West Leeds who are currently recruiting for an admin assistant to work on their main school reception.

Requirements of this role:

  • Answer incoming phone calls – such as, taking messages for other staff & from parents.
  • Organised in relaying g information to the relevant people – through email, phone calls & when needed meetings.
  • Undertake basic admin tasks, such as organisation of documents and forms, Including the use of computers.
  • Meet and greet visitors of the school.
  • Support students aged 11year – 16 years.

Suitable applications should hold:

  • Some relevant experience working in an admin environment or within a role utilising similar skill sets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to effectively work as a team.
  • Initiative to work independently – relevant training provided.
  • Hold sound understanding of safeguarding within schools – relevant safeguarding training provided.
  • Able to use basic functions on a computer, such as emails, word, excel. The school system will be used, with training provided.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.

Job Details:

  • Full time role Monday to Friday – term time only.
  • Hours 9am- 5pm.
  • Starting date, = as soon as possible.
  • Initial 2 term contract through Protocol-Education, with the view to sign a permanent contract with the school.
  • Role within a ‘good’ mainstream secondary school in West Leeds, who have a KS3 – KS4 cohort.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
