We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Bristol looking for a Reception / Year 1 Teacher to join their team full-time. This is a brilliant opportunity to teach in a setting where early learning, emotional development, and strong relationships sit right at the centre of school life.

If you love those lightbulb moments, first phonics breakthroughs, and helping little learners find their confidence, you’ll feel right at home here.

About the school

This is a school that puts children first, always. You’ll be joining a team that:

  • Creates a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child feels safe and valued
  • Places strong emphasis on early communication, language, and social development
  • Uses clear routines and structured learning to help children settle and succeed
  • Encourages curiosity, independence, and a love of learning from day one
  • Works collaboratively, sharing ideas and supporting each other

There’s a real sense of community here, staff support each other, and children are encouraged to thrive both academically and emotionally.

‍ Your role

  • Full class teacher responsibility in Reception or Year 1
  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons
  • Supporting early phonics, literacy, and numeracy development
  • Creating a calm, structured, and inspiring classroom environment
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Working closely with support staff to meet a range of needs, including SEN

What we’re looking for

  • UK QTS (or equivalent)
  • Experience in EYFS or KS1
  • A warm, nurturing teaching style with high expectations
  • Strong classroom management and a good understanding of early development
  • Someone who brings energy, creativity, and a team-first mindset

Early Career Teachers are very welcome, this is a supportive environment to help you find your feet.

What’s on offer

  • Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
  • Full-time, long-term role with potential for permanent placement
  • Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture
  • Access to CPD and development opportunities
  • A school where you can genuinely enjoy teaching
