Reception Teaching Assistant

This primary school is seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to support early reading, phonics, and writing development.

The Reception team provides strong mentoring and clear daily routines. No prior experience is required — training will be provided to ensure you feel confident supporting early literacy.

Key Duties

• Supporting daily phonics sessions

• Assisting with guided reading

• Encouraging mark-making and sentence formation

• Supporting structured play-based learning

• Maintaining classroom routines

• Providing 1:1 encouragement where needed
