Job description
I am working with an infant school in Chesham who are looking for a Reception Teacher to join them from September 2019.
Are you an enthusiastic, motivated and innovative professional looking to join a friendly, forward thinking, community school.
You will take responsibility for the teaching and learning of all the children in your class. This overall responsibility will include:
Planning and teaching programmes of work, monitoring the progress and welfare of all the children in the class.
Liaison with other teaching staff, parents, educational support services and other agencies as necessary.
Encouraging the involvement and support of parents, community and other agencies.
·You will work with the Deputy Head on the continual development of teaching and learning within the school.
·You will have 10 % non-contact time for planning, preparation, assessment and staff meetings.
·You will lead a Funky Phonics session with children at least once a day.
·You will constructively work with children during choosing time helping them to participate where necessary or actively furthering their learning.
·You will guide and assist the development of children's social behaviour, attitudes and skills, as appropriate and following the School's Behaviour Policy.
