Job description
A lovely independent primary school within the London Borough of Brent is currently looking for an experienced Reception teacher who could take on extra senior leadership responsibilities as a Head of EYFS.

The successful applicant will be a full-time Reception teacher and in charge of 10-20 children in the classroom. On top of this, you will be responsible for the EYFS in the schoool on a part-time basis. This is a long term contract starting from September 2018 and the school is looking for a candidate that could commit for at least 2 years.

Experience teaching and planning within EYFS Curriculum is essential and the school is looking for an outstanding practitioner. Our client is looking for a passionate candidate who has experience working in Reception (including planning, preparation, delivery, assessment), has a high work-ethic and can-do' attitude, who will contribute to school life and will bring an engaging and inspiring attitude to the classroom. Experience with ReadWrite Inc is not essential but would be a bonus! On top of this, you will also serve as a Head of EYFS so previous senior leadership experience is requires. You will ensure the EYFS is promoted and delivered within the setting and its principles are adhered to. You will also implement and monitor a key person system and attend trainings in order to improve teaching and learning within the school.

The successful applicant must have:
- A Qualified Teacher Status (either a PGCE or Cert Ed.)
- A minimum of 3 years UK teaching experience.
- Knowledge of EYFS National Curriculum and the ability to plan differentiated work.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service or willing to undertake one.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Excellent teaching references
- Strong behaviour management skills.
