About the role:

You’ll take full responsibility for a Reception class, supported by an experienced Teaching Assistant and a collaborative Early Years team. This is a hands-on, rewarding role where no two days are the same — from phonics and storytelling to outdoor learning and play-based exploration.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Delivering engaging, play-based lessons aligned with the EYFS framework
• Supporting early phonics, language development, and communication skills
• Creating a safe, stimulating, and structured learning environment
• Encouraging social development, independence, and curiosity
• Observing, assessing, and tracking individual progress
• Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues

You’ll play a key role in helping children settle into school, develop confidence, and begin their love of learning.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience or strong interest in Early Years education
• A nurturing, patient, and creative approach
• Strong understanding of child development
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
