Early Years Teaching Primary Teacher

Your next teaching role could be closer than you think.

We’re working with a range of welcoming primary schools across Hackney looking for caring and creative Reception Teachers who know that the best learning often starts with curiosity, imagination, and a little bit of messy play.

If you love helping children take those all-important first steps in their school journey, creating exciting learning experiences, and celebrating every milestone, we'd love to hear from you.

Every Reception class is different, every school has its own personality, but they all share the same goal, giving children the confidence, independence, and love of learning that will stay with them for years to come.

If you're someone who understands the magic of early years, can build strong relationships with children and families, and knows how to turn everyday moments into meaningful learning opportunities, this could be your perfect next step.

What you'll be doing:
• Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS Framework
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom where every child feels happy, confident, and ready to learn
• Supporting children's social, emotional, and academic development through purposeful play and structured activities
• Observing, assessing, and tracking progress to celebrate achievements and identify next steps
• Building positive partnerships with parents and carers to support each child's development
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and colleagues to create an inspiring early years environment
• Promoting positive behaviour through encouragement, routine, and strong relationships
• Upholding safeguarding and contributing positively to the wider school community

What we're looking for:

The right fit for this role will be someone who:
• Holds UK QTS
• Has recent experience teaching within an EYFS setting in a UK primary school
• Has a strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child-led learning
• Creates engaging, inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive
• Builds positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Brings warmth, creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to every school day

Why work with Protocol Education?

• Opportunities across mainstream, SEND, and alternative settings
• A smooth, straightforward registration process
• A referral scheme that genuinely rewards you

Find a role that genuinely fits you.
