Protocol Education are currently seeking a Year 4 Class Teacher to start in January 2021. The school's aim is Excellence for All, therefore they are looking for a candidate of significant ability and enthusiasm, aware of and stimulated by the challenges and potential of a successful multi-ethnic co-educational school.

The role will require leading, delivering and coordinating lessons and curriculum to students that have autism, communication difficulties and developmental delay. Candidates who are committed to ensuring pupils make good progress and encourage pupils to reach their potential through engaging and stimulating teaching.

Successful candidates are required to:

• Take responsibility for the education and welfare of a designated class of children in accordance to the requirements of the specified Curriculum and school policies.
• Meet Professional Teacher Standards.
• To be a role model to others and to lead learning beyond your own classroom.
• Take responsibility for planning and implementing appropriate work programmes for all children in the designated class, within the framework of national and school policies.
• To maintain assessment records and report on children's progress to senior staff and families and Governors, in accordance with school policy.
• Have good knowledge and understanding of the primary National Curriculum including Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Be familiar with the SEND Code of Practice, including identification, assessment and support of children with SEND.
• Have good understanding of National Health and Safety and Child Protection guidelines.
• Continue to meet Professional Teacher Standards.
