We're working with welcoming Secondary Schools in Brent looking for a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join their team. Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a fresh start or you're ready to build on your early teaching experience, this could be just the opportunity you've been waiting for.

What you'll be doing

  • Teaching Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach your specialist area, such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Engineering or Food Technology
  • Delivering engaging, well-planned lessons that encourage creativity, practical skills and innovative thinking
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom and workshop environment where every student feels confident to design, make and achieve
  • Assessing progress, providing meaningful feedback and helping pupils develop valuable technical and problem-solving skills
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and contributing to the wider life of the school

What we're looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology within a secondary school
  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills
  • A genuine commitment to helping young people develop practical skills, creativity and confidence
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
