What does the job consist of?
We are currently working alongside several mainstream primary settings in Leeds that have a high percentage of SENd and additional needs.
Our schools are looking for enthusiastic SENd Teaching Assistants to join their team when schools re-open.
You will be working closely with pupil's parents, keeping on top of their behavioural patterns and ensuring good work is carried out at school and continued at home. This presents an ideal role for Psychology graduates who are looking towards a MSc and research projects.
As an SENd Teaching Assistant, you must have a natural aptitude with behaviour management and interpersonal skills as well as a very enthusiastic and positive manner.
You must have a level of resilience, have a good sense of humour, be able to build rapport easily and will ideally have experience working with students who have Autism (ASC), SEMH or Behaviour needs.
