Protocol Education are looking for psychology graduates who would like to gain experience working in schools with children with SEMH needs. Protocol Education are working with schools in the Shropshire and Telford area who are looking for teaching assistants. These schools cover KS3 to 6th form and these pupils have a range of additional needs including ASC, ADHD, and complex needs.


• Form relationships with colleagues and students
• Ensure safe and comfortable environments for students to succeed
• Manage student behaviours
• Support students in their learning using innovative approaches

The right candidate will:

• Have experience working with additional needs
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• Be a team player
• Experience with Makaton and PECS is desired but not essential

You will be working with pupils on both a 1:1 and group basis. You will be responsible for ensuring student safety as there are some challenging behaviours that occur. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
