Protocol Education is recruiting a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Gateshead this September. You'll support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs and a range of additional learning needs, helping them achieve both academically and socially.

Role Details

• Full-time, Monday-Friday
• September 2026 start
• Term-time only
• Working hours between 8:30am-3:30pm and 8:30am-4:30pm
• Long-term opportunity with potential for a permanent position

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 and small group support
• Promote confidence, independence and engagement
• Support emotional regulation and behaviour
• Work alongside teachers, therapists and SENCOs
• Record pupil progress and celebrate achievements

What We're Looking For

• Psychology degree (or related subject)
• Passion for supporting children with SEND
• Excellent communication skills
• Patient, resilient and caring approach
• Experience working with young people is desirable
