Just finished your Psychology degree and want experience that actually means something?
We’re working with a welcoming KS2 primary school in the West End of Newcastle looking for a Psychology Graduate to join their team as a SEND Support Assistant. This is a brilliant role if you’re considering a future in educational psychology, CAMHS, mental health, SEN teaching, or pastoral support.
You’ll be supporting pupils who need a bit of extra help to thrive in school, whether that’s with learning, behaviour, confidence, or emotional regulation.
You’ll be working closely with children in Key Stage 2, supporting pupils with needs such as:
Support may be 1:1 or in small groups, depending on the pupil and the school’s needs.
This is a supportive, down-to-earth team who genuinely value their support staff. They’re looking for someone who can build strong relationships, bring positive energy, and stick with pupils through the ups and downs.
In other words, someone who gets that progress isn’t always linear, but it’s always worth it.
Are you Thrive trained?
If not, we can get you signed up for Protocol Education’s FREE Thrive training, which is a huge bonus when working with SEMH and emotionally driven behaviour in primary schools.
Apply now to find out more, or drop us a message for a quick chat. This is the kind of role that gives you proper experience, not just a name badge and a chair in the corner.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQs on the Protocol Education website for further details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
