Job description
Psychology Graduates needed - SEN Teaching Assistant

Would you like to increase your experience working with SEN pupils of varying degree of ability and behaviour?
Do you have a passion for working with SEN students and looking to impact classroom standards and motivation?
What does the job consist of?

Good to Outstanding West Leeds mainstream secondary schools are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants / SEN TAs to join their team. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with pupil's parents sometimes, parent evenings, keeping on top of their behavioural patterns and ensuring good work carried out at school is continued in the home. This presents an ideal role for Psychology graduates who is looking towards a MSc and research projects.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you must have a natural aptitude on the behaviour management and interpersonal skills as well as a very enthusiastic and positive manner. You must be able to have a level of resilience, have a good sense of humour, be able to build rapport easily and will ideally have experience working with students who have Autism, SLD, PMLD or Behaviour Issues.
