Job description
Are you a recent Psychology graduate, looking to work within a special needs school?

If so, the SEND team at Protocol Education can help you.

We are recruiting for a number of Teaching Assistants to work at a mixed needs secondary school in Stockport. Having some understanding or experience in supporting students with Autism would be an advantage but not essential.

All roles are full time during term time from September 2107 for the academic year. Some of these roles may go to onto a permanent contract in January 2018.

These roles will require you to be working 1:1 with a students of secondary age who have additional needs to assist them not only academically but also with life skills for independent living, where appropriate.

Some students maybe non verbal so having working knowledge of Makaton and PECS would be ideal to support these students. As would any additional training in SEND, e.g Manual Handling.
