Job description
Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is looking for special needs teaching assistants to work in a Surrey based Pupil Referral Uni (PRU) Special needs teaching assistants need to provide a high level of support to children with a range of learning difficulties including behavioural difficulties.

The school have Students from Years 7 to 11 and are offered a range of vocational courses including Hair and Beauty and Construction which are not available in mainstream schools. The schools mission is to support young people with a view to getting them back into mainstream school.

What is the role?

As the SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities) Teaching Assistant, you will be vital in supporting a small classroom, ranging from 2 up to 10 pupils. You will be working closely with the class teacher, helping to differentiate the work for each pupil and support the pupils in completing their day to day education material.
