PRU Cover Supervisor - Behaviour Support

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor for a PRU in Gateshead, supporting pupils with complex behavioural and emotional needs.

You’ll play a vital role in keeping learners engaged and helping them regulate emotions in a safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise lessons in the teacher’s absence
• Promote positive behaviour and boundaries
• De-escalate challenging situations effectively
• Support emotional regulation and engagement
• Encourage progress and participation

Ideal Candidate:
✔ Experience in PRU, SEMH, youth work, or care
✔ Excellent behaviour management
✔ Strong communication skills
✔ Resilient and emotionally intelligent

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
