Job description
An effective and small unit at a Loughborough Primary School are looking for a dependable Teaching Assistant to work with foundation stage and Key stage 1 pupils with special education needs including Autism in the new academic year.

For this role you must be a conscientious Teaching Assistant who can show a desire to work with children who have additional needs. You must show the ability to establish yourself as a role model to the pupils, showcasing the traits required for future success. At this school, as a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the pupils throughout the school and offer students the academic and pastoral support they need to thrive.

The school works with pupils who have have a range of needs including speech and language, autism and mild learning difficulties. The pupils benefit from small specialist classes and also attending classes with their mainstream counterparts. It is hoped that you will have experience of SEND and able to add value with phonics, makaton, PECs and other specialist learning techniques.

This role is a temporary supply post for at least two terms working 5 days a week full time or as part of a job share.
