Protocol Education are currently working with primary schools in North London area. My client are in need of some additional support to start after the February half term. This is a temporary role with the review to extend (subject to funding).
The position involves supporting a challenging year 4 pupil with Autism (ASC), managing his behaviour and keeping him on task in lessons.
Currently, due to the school closures, the child is in school as he falls under the 'Vulnerable Group'. The school need someone who can work with the pupil both inside and outside the classroom environment, they would expect the successful individual to be able to use their initiative well in these situations and know when to intervene and diffuse effectively.
Ideally the school are needing someone on a full-time basis, however, will consider part-time applicants also if you have the right skills and experience needed.
- Have a very patient and calm approach.
- Have previous experience working with Autism and ideally Autism Training.
- Have a resilient mindset.
