Job description
Newham School requires a passionate KS2 Teacher to start January 2019 to cover long term sickness. You will be covering a Year 3 Class in the mornings and then working PPA across KS2 in the afternoons.

They would consider someone who would work Part Time for the remainder of this school year, but then take on full time responsibilities from September 2019.

My client is a medium sized Primary school in East Ham which celebrates the diverse community it serves in the heart of East London. They are largely a two-form entry Primary school, with plans to become three-form in the coming years. Whilst being a 2 form school, they actually have 3 teachers per year groups and this means that the classes are an average of 20 pupils per class.

They also have a 52 place Nursery and a Pre-School which caters for children between the ages of 2 and 3. The majority of their children live in and represent the local area which is rich in its diversity.

The school offers many opportunities to develop pupils' social, moral, cultural and spiritual education. The well-planned curriculum promotes good progress. Relationships within the school are very positive. Pupils behave well and are polite, courteous and respectful. The displays in the school are beautifully presented and the outdoor area is attractive and well kept.

The school needs a teacher who;

• Strong and ready for the challenge and commitment of taking on the class full time
• Experienced in supporting the development of children who find learning challenging
• Can continue to build on the schools good' OFSTED report
• Has the confidence and initiative to introduce new ideas to help children to make significant progress
• Can encourage children to enjoy their time at school, raise their aspirations and to try hard at everything they do

Requirements for this Key Stage 2 Teacher role:
