Job Description - Primary Teacher - Math's Leader

Post: Teacher Leader for Maths with class teaching responsibility
Location: Lewisham
Salary: MPS/ upper pay scales at relevant point Plus TLR2b
Reporting to: Executive Head / Headteacher
Period of employment: This is a full time and permanent position
Start Date:January 2018

I am currently working with a school in the borough of Lewisham who are looking to appoint a strong primary teacher to lead Maths in an Ofsted - Outstanding school.

The primary school are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated member of staff to deliver the implementation of Maths Mastery throughout the school.

• Have substantial knowledge of the national curriculum
• Is confident at monitoring mathematics within the school
• Have the ability to create an engaging environment for pupils and staff
• Have the ability to create and maintain a solid staff structure
• Be a strategic leader with a proven record of school improvement including the ability, including the quality of teaching and learning
• Be passionate about improving educational standards, providing high quality leadership and motivating others
• Is strong, reflective classroom practitioner who is passionate about teaching and lifelong learning and the ability and dedication to become an outstanding practitioner
• Is keen to expand their knowledge, skills and understanding of learning, education and pedagogy in order to grow and develop as a practitioner
• Is excited about learning and teaching and is committed to all elements of school life
• Is a proven successful class teacher

The primary school is extremely supportive, and is easily accessible by car and public transport. The position is great for a teacher looking to gain more experience in KS2 and want to work in primary school dedicated to learning.
