Primary Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join welcoming and supportive primary schools in Barnsley. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about delivering engaging lessons and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupils' progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold safeguarding responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching within a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to promoting high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
