Protocol Education are looking for teaching assistants to work in one of our outstanding special needs As a special needs teaching assistant you will be required to work with a wide range of needs that include; speech & language difficulties, severe learning difficulties, physical disabilities and autism. This supportive & caring environment requires successful candidates to support students with speech & language, develop sentence structure through the use of images, support them in play that include reading and sand play, take part in creative lessons that include music, art and movement.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Partaking in creative lessons such art, music and dance
  • Provide one to one support through out of the day to ensure students have a positive learning experience
  • Assisting students and encouraging sensory integration with the aid of a designated sensory room
  • Developing motor skills and encouraging physical independence
  • Developing speech and language through the use of pictures and simple signing
