Job description
Protocol Education are recruiting for a SEND Teacher to work in Central London Primary Schools.


The role;
You will be working in a mainstream primary school setting with pupils from a wide range of cultural backgrounds, who have additional needs. You will develop programmes of learning activities and follow the set curriculum for the academic year. As a Teacher you will be responsible and accountable for the progress and development of the pupils in their class, including where pupils access support from teaching assistants or specialist staff and being able to adapt teaching materials and making use of special facilities and/or equipment. SEN needs may range from, ASD, MLD, PMLD, Dyslexia, SLD, SEMH, HI, VI and physical disabilities.


The right candidate would have;
•Previous experience Teaching SEN children aged 4-11 in a school.
•A strong understanding of children with complex communication difficulties and learning difficulties.
•Be able to adapt quickly and identify individuals changes in behaviour.
•Be confident managing challenging behaviour and working in high pressure situations.
•Contact and teaching time with students on an in individual, class or small group basis.
• Preferable but not essential; PECS, Makaton, Manual Handling Training, Team Teach experience.
•Hold a QTS.
