SEND Teaching Assistants Required for long-term positions in London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

Protocol Education are currently working with several large schools in Tower Hamlets who are keen to hear from inspiring SEND Teaching Assistants who can help their SEND students flourish.

These roles are due to start immediately and will be full-time during term time.

Working in partnership with the classroom teacher, the SENDCO, outside agencies and the parents, you will enrich the learning environment and create a fun and inspiring place for the child you are placed with.

You will be working on a 1:1 basis with one or several children with SEND in a mainstream school. The predominant need in our school is ASD so any experience in this area would be highly beneficial.

As a 1:1 support assistant, you will develop a strong rapport with your student, so it is therefore vital that you are reliable and are able to provide consistency for the child.

If you have knowledge of PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables this would be highly beneficial to this role.

This would be a great opportunity for any recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching.

Ideally, you will have experience of working with SEND Children in a Primary school, but we will consider candidates who have worked with people with SEND in other settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
