An outstanding special provision in Greenwich are currently recruiting learning support assistants/classroom support workers to work within a primary special needs school to either start after half-term or after Easter. As a teaching assistant you will be required to support special needs students academically, developing life skills, social independence, participating in work placements and also encourage outdoor activities such as gardening, visiting the farm or taking learners to the local cafe. As a special needs school you will have the opportunity to work with students with special needs that include such as autism, physical disabilities, severe learning disabilities and varying levels of behaviour in a specialist learning environment.

The ideal person:

• Experience & an interest to work with special needs students of all ages
• Ability to support students on a one to one basis
• Abiltiy to work as part of a team
• Has a patient and calming approach
