Do you have experience working with children with challenging behaviour?

Are you a calming presence that can react quickly to difficult situations developing?

We currently require a teaching assistant to work with Key Stage 2 pupils with challenging behaviour in a mainstream School in Darlington.

Your role will be to maintain the student's high standards of behaviour the school expects by following the school's behaviour policy.

You will be a strong rapport builder who can quickly build relationships and trust with students and teachers.

To be considered you do not need any specific qualifications, but the following attributes are desirable.

• Relevant experience working with children
• Experience working with special educational needs
• Ability to develop professional relationships with pupils and staff
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to deliver effective classroom management in line with the school's behaviour policy
