Job description
Primary SEN Case officer - South East London

My Client based in South East London are currently looking to recruit an Early years SEN officer . This role will be on an Interim basis and the successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the team in order to coordinate outcomes for children with Special Educational Needs.

Job specifics:

You will be responsible for drafting EHC plans and supporting transfers of Statements to EHCP including facilitating the Transfer Reviews.

You will work towards key deliverables within statutory deadlines, ultimately adhering to statutory legislation such as SEN Code of Practice (2001) and Children and Families Acts (2014). Educational Health Care (EHC) plans transfer experience is key for this role.

You will be working specifically on early years/primary SEN student cases.

Whilst in this role you will be working closely with internal and external professionals such as Head teachers as well as with Parents and families

Experience:

-Experience as SEN Officer / EHC coordinator in a local authority setting

-Knowledge of relevant frameworks and legislation

-Early years SEN experience

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
