Job description
Position: Primary Science Teacher
Duration: Maternity Cover, April to October 2019
Pay: £600 - £900 per week dependant on experience

We are working with a small independent primary school in the Chesterfield area who are in need of a Primary Teacher with a good understanding of the Science curriculum within Primary Education.

The successful applicant will be working across all year groups within Primary covering Science.

You will be expected to:

• Have experience and knowledge of Science across both Key Stage 1 and 2
• Have experience teaching across key stage 1 and 2
• Good behaviour management
• Flexible in which year groups you'll work in as will be moving around each class
• Have a teaching qualification with QTS or equivalent
• Have a DBS on the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
• Be able to provide references for the past 3 years


The school is a small Independent School with around 175 children, with classes capped at 20 students to allow the teacher to be able to build relationships with each student and help to guide them through their Primary Education to get the best out of it.
