Primary School Learning Support Assistant

Looking for a role where you can make a real difference, every single day?

We’re on the lookout for a brilliant SEND Support Educators to work across welcoming primary schools in Croydon. Five days a week. Consistent work. Proper support. The kind of role where you’re not just filling a gap, you’re changing a child’s school experience for the better!

You’ll be supporting pupils with additional needs who are working on an Education, Health and Care Plan. That means patience, creativity, and a calm, steady presence.

What your days will look like

• Providing 1:1 and small group support
• Helping pupils access learning in a way that works for them
• Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs
• Creating a safe, encouraging space where children feel understood

You might be supporting children with autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, speech and language challenges, or a mix of the above. No two days are the same, but that’s half the magic.

What we’re looking for

• Experience supporting children with SEND in a primary setting
• A calm, consistent approach
• Confidence managing behaviour positively
• A genuine passion for inclusive education

If you’ve worked in an ELP, specialist unit, PRU, or mainstream classroom with high needs pupils, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll get from us

You won’t be left figuring things out alone. You’ll be supported by an experienced, local consultant who knows the Croydon schools inside out. Need advice? Want feedback? Fancy talking through your next step and career advice? We’re here.

You’ll also receive:

• Weekly pay through PAYE, no umbrella faff
• FREE access to our online CPD Academy
• Ongoing training and development opportunities
• Roles in supportive schools that value their support staff
• A streamlined registration process and local placements

And if you’re not already Thrive trained, let’s change that. We offer free Thrive training to help you feel even more confident supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, and schools absolutely love it.

If you’re the steady hand in the classroom, the calm in the chaos, the one who really sees the child behind the behaviour, this could be your next move.
