We are recruiting for Teaching Assistants in the Lincoln area with experience working alongside students with SEMH needs to work in the mainstream and SEND Schools specialised in providing education for children with SEMH and challenging behaviours for the new academic year in September.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, motivated, calm and able to form good relationships with children and be pro-active with classroom-based experience in Primary Schools, ideally with experience working alongside children with SEMH, ASD or different forms of SEND.
You will work one to one and in group settings, assisting the class teacher. The school hours are five days a week working 8.30am to 3.30pm, however there is potential for part time work too.
The positions are to help with daily supply and could potentially lead to long-term roles depending on performance.
To be considered for this role you must have the following:
• A passion for working closely with SEND students to achieve their personal goals and behaviours
• Reference information for the last five years
• UK eligibility to work, an enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to have one undertaken at the cost of £40
• The ability to be flexible and adaptable on a daily basis
Protocol Education are seeking individuals with a desire and passion to support vulnerable children who have experience working with Special Education Needs students. The perfect candidate would ideally have some form of behaviour management training, ideally team teach, manual handling or STEPS training, although this is desired, it is not essential. Most importantly, you must be approachable, enthusiastic and promote positive behaviour management and guidance to aid progression and personal development.

The role:
• Working closely in a 1:1 environment and small groups to support behavioural issues
• Encouraging positive behaviours, detecting areas of intervention and negotiating improvement strategies
• Understanding and commitment to the improvement of students

The ideal candidate may have:
• Experience working 1-1 with children and in small group capacity
• Experience supporting students with SEND
