Job description
Protocol Education has a vacancy for a KS2 Teacher within a Pupil Referral Unit in the London Borough of Camden. The position will be full-time, commencing in September

The school is looking for a dynamic Qualified Primary Teacher to work with a small Key Stage 2 class with no more than 5 children. All pupils are have a statement of Social, Emotional and Mental Health, and there will also be one pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition. The class is supported by a number of support staff and a full time Teaching Assistant. The school would prefer someone who has prior experience in a similar environment, although this is not essential. A desire to make a genuine difference to the lives of those you work with is the most important quality that we are looking for.

The position is a fixed term contract, although a permanent position may be offered to an exceptional candidate. The position is for 5 days a week. There is minimal planning and marking involved with this role due to the small number of students on roll.

To be considered for this Primary Teacher opportunity in Camden, you must:

- Be a Qualified Primary Teacher
- Be Team Teach Trained - or be prepared to have training
- Experience of Teaching in a PRU, Alternative Provision or SEMH school.
- Excellent behaviour management
- Have the ability to build rapport with young people
- An understanding and empathy to social and emotional needs
- Have experience of teaching in the UK within the last 2 years
