Job description
I am currently working closely with a school in central Sheffield that supports challenging behaviours and pupils that have a history of Social Emotional and Mental Health issues. They are looking for the right candidate for long term temporary employment.

Our client is looking to secure a new Learning Support Assistant to work with small class sizes and small groups of students in both learning and vocational environments. Candidates must be dedicated to helping students overcome their barriers to learning, they must have a positive approach to supporting students and must be resilient.

Candidates must be comfortable supporting students that may have had a traumatic past, and providing not only academic support but also emotional support. As a member of their staff team you would be expected to take an active interest in all of the students and their progression throughout the school and their learning journeys.

Candidates must have experience working with children in an educational environment.

As part of safer recruitment, we would need to obtain two professional references and complete an up to date DBS check. For this role we are happy to accept candidates that have a current DBS on the update service.
