Job description
Protocol Education are looking for Teaching Assistants who can teach English as an Additional Language to support children in groups and on a 1:1 basis. Many of the children you will be working with are new to the country and have limited knowledge of the English language. You will be required to prepare resources to aid their progress and adapt any tasks to suit their needs.

Candidates with the ability to speak Turkish and Romanian are preferable.

The successful candidate should therefore be able to establish a good supportive relationship with the students they are supporting. You will be required to liaise with the class teacher, SENDCo and parents to update them on the progress of the student.

Successful applicants must have:

- A minimum of 3 months in a classroom environment in the UK.
- Experience working with children with English as an Additional Language.
- The ability to adapt and prepare resources to suit the needs of the child.
- Bilingualism is not essential but would be an advantage.
- A UK DBS or willing to undertake one.
- 2 excellent references.
