Job description

We are now recruiting Entry level Teaching Assistants to work in Enfield Primary Schools.

Previous experience is not essential, we are looking for passionate candidates who have the right attitude and transferable skills and who are looking to gain classroom experience. Maybe you are a former Sports coach, Youth Worker, Mentor, Social Worker, Workshop Facilitator or are you a graduate with an interested in education. If so, we want to hear from you!

What you will be doing in a role through us::

You may be required to work with a range of abilities and age groups, in varied classroom environments and sometimes with children with special needs statements.

You may work on a 1 to 1 basis or with small groups, assisting them in and out of the classroom for various activities.

You will work closely with other school staff, and take direction from the class teacher and other staff members.

You will assist with school work in various subjects, and will often need to find creative ways to keep students engaged in lessons.

You will need to build strong relationships with pupils and staff, whilst still maintaining professional boundaries and be proactive, friendly, outgoing and taking the initiative at all times.

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00.
