Learning Support Assistants Required for long-term positions in London Borough of Newham.

Protocol Education are currently working with several large schools in Newham who are keen to hear from inspiring Learning Support Assistants who can help their students flourish.

These roles are due to start ASAP and will be full-time during term time.

Your role as a Learning Support Assistant is more important than ever before. With school closures disrupting students learning, they need all the support they can get in order to catch up effectively.

Working in partnership with the classroom teacher, the SENDCO, outside agencies and the parents, you will enrich the learning environment and create a fun and inspiring place for students to learn.

Whilst children have fallen behind academically, children have also suffered with their mental health during the pandemic and for many returning to school has come with new obstacles to overcome. A large part of your role will be ensuring the students in your care are happy and settled being back in the classroom. The ideal candidate will be a positive and calming influence who can act as a true role model for your students.

Your typical day will consist of running interventions in maths and English, supporting the classroom teacher in managing behaviour issues, working on a 1:1 basis with children with SEND and supporting the whole school where necessary.

This would be a great opportunity for any recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching.

Prior experience in a classroom is highly beneficial for these roles , however we will consider applicants with a good range of childcare experience in other settings especially those with SEND experience.

Interviews and trial days are taking place ASAP. Please respond to this advert directly with an up to date CV and a consultant will be in touch to discuss your application.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see protocol-education.com/FAQs for further details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
