Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a rewarding 1:1 role where you can truly make a difference?
We are working with welcoming primary and secondary schools across Colchester who are seeking dedicated LSAs to provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs. These roles are ideal for someone patient, nurturing, and confident in supporting individual learning and wellbeing.
As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Provide tailored support to a pupil with SEN or additional needs
Support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs
Help pupils build confidence, independence, and engagement
Follow EHCP targets, safeguarding, and school policies
Previous experience as an LSA/TA, ideally with SEN or 1:1 support
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting children’s development
Reliability, professionalism, and adaptability
