When the Covid-19 pandemic forced schools to close their doors, it may have seemed that bringing in new staff would take a back seat. Over the last few weeks/months school leaders have grappled with the transition to online learning and how to support children with an educational health care plans whilst they are at home, however hiring new staff is now a priority more than ever and the world of virtual interviews has sprung into life.
Reintegration and pupil progress are areas that have been highlighted as a focus for recruitment, we at Protocol Education are looking for new staff that are able to build relationships with children and young adults that have been affected by the lockdown. Schools that cater to children with various special educational needs such as, autism, social emotional and mental health difficulties and profound and multiple learning difficulties will need support staff to help rebuild student confidence and refocus on academic and social targets.

Ideal Candidates
* Will have some form of childcare/school-based experience
* Will have work or personal experience with special educational needs
