Protocol Education are currently recruiting candidates that can make a positive change to the lives of individuals with learning difficulties and other complex special needs to start in immediately of after half-term. The role is person centred where you will work one to one or lead small groups developing numeracy & literacy, promoting self confidence and encouraging social interaction, teaching life skills such as cooking, washing and shopping, assisting with work placements and taking part in recreational activities such as going to the farm, local cafe or a bit of gardening. This specialist college provides an engaging and caring learning environment for special needs students aged 18 to 25.

The college takes pride in creating an environment that ensures students are welcomed and feel safe and that staff treat them well. The main purpose of the role will be to provide a positive learning experience for students as well and preparing their transition from education to adulthood.

  • Leading one to one sessions
  • Developing numeracy, literacy
  • Teaching life skills such as cooking, gardening, shopping
  • Developing self confidence and social interaction

For this role, you will have:
  • Experience working in specialist schools or care backgrounds is beneficial
  • Previous support work within a school or other child related experience
  • An interest in supporting learners with special needs
