Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work in one of our special needs schools located in Southwark to start September 2021. This particular school are looking for teaching assistants who have experience working in the care sector and are looking to apply their skills within education. As a teaching assistant you will have the opportunity to support students 1:1, assist small groups of students, developing speech & communication skills, encourage social awareness and engage students with sensory integration. This lovely school offers focused learning and development to students with special needs such as visual, hearing impairments, autism, severe learning difficulties and physical disabilities.

Main Duties:
  • Supporting students 1:1
  • Assist small groups of students
  • Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Develop social & communication skills through sensory integration
  • Assessing pupils' levels and ability
