Help Pupils Find Their Voice, Build Independence and Access Learning

Protocol Education is looking for a PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Morpeth.

You'll support pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties, helping them communicate, participate in school life and develop their independence.

Every pupil will have different needs, meaning you'll need to be observant, adaptable and willing to understand what works for each individual.

Your Role Could Include:

• Providing 1:1 support
• Supporting personalised learning
• Encouraging communication
• Using individual communication strategies
• Supporting sensory activities
• Encouraging choice and independence
• Supporting physical and mobility needs
• Providing personal care where required
• Following individual support plans
• Working alongside teachers and specialist staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
