Job description
Protocol are working in partnership with a rapidly improving school in Darlington to recruit support assistants to work on a personal care basis.

The role involves working with vulnerable students and learners with disabilities to provide the extra support and care they need to flourish in their education. The work involves one-to-one support with learning, and involves personal care such as feeding and changing.

If you have experience providing support and one-to-one care to people with disabilities or learning difficulties, this role could be perfect for you!

You will…
• Have a calm, patient and flexible approach
• Have previous experience of providing support to young people, ideally in the 7-19 age groups
• Possess excellent organisational and communication skills
• Have the ability to develop a rapport as a responsible and trustworthy role model
• Hold an enhanced DBS Certificate, or be willing to apply for one

Previous experience in education is not essential - if you have worked in a care environment, we'd still love to hear from you!

We are looking for people with a genuine passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential. If you are looking for a rewarding role in a diverse and challenging environment - where you can genuinely have a hand in changing lives - then apply now!

We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
