Job description
Personal Care Assistant for Pupils - Surrey

Education Protocol are looking for someone to take on a challenging but rewarding role as a Personal Care Assistant in Surrey. As a Personal Care Assistant you will have the ability to inspire and encourage children to meet their goals whilst managing potentially challenging care situations. This is a role that is incredibly rewarding and takes someone with special characteristics.

The Role

The school we are recruiting for is a special educational needs school for young people aged 11-19 years. Many students have additional needs such as mild to moderate Autistic Spectrum Disorders, language impairment or emotional issues; a few have sensory or medical needs.

The ideal candidates for this position will have:

• The ability to create and maintain relationships
• Strong communication skills
• A creative personality
• A willingness to help
• Good understanding of special education needs and autism
• Experience in managing challenging behaviour

To work in this school you need to be committed in giving children the best care. The school trust individuals to work 1:1 but to also offer additional support to those that need it at particularly challenging times. Empathy is a key component to a successful candidate for this position and have the ability to understand that not all pupils reflect on the world and their environment the same way.

To apply for this role, please apply online or forward your CV to Daniel.Stalder@protocol-education.com with a brief covering letter.

We look forward to hearing from you!
