We are currently looking for a Level 2/ Level 3 Qualified Nursery to work on a permanent basis in a friendly and welcoming private day nursery based in North London Barnet.

We are looking for a candidate who can start as soon as possible and we require the candidate to work 5 days per week. The nursery is open 51 weeks of the year (we close for a week at Christmas and for all the bank holidays). The shifts alternate on a weekly basis and are either 8 am to 5 pm or 9 am to 6 pm. We are looking for a candidate who has recent nursery experience and has either a Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification. Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience but should be between £16,000 - £17,000 (gross) for a Level 2 candidate or between £18,000 and £21,000 (gross) for a Level 3 candidate. Holidays are 20 days per annum plus the 8 bank holidays.

This nursery is a ten minute walk from Woodside Park tube station which is on the Northern Line or we have free parking for nursery staff available for staff who drive.

The candidate would be responsible for a group of key children in our 3 to 5 year old room. They must be flexible, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and willing to work as part of a team.

What the role involves:

• Helping to oversee, maintain and organise a clean, tidy child-friendly environment
• Teaching general life skills including basic manners and hygiene
• Taking part in activities indoor and outdoor and ensuring all children are involved
• Helping children with meals, snacks and drinks
• Building a strong, solid relationship with all parents
• Logging any problems/accidents with as much detail as possible to ensure the correct procedure is carried out
