Job description
I am recruiting for a highly rated and respectable nursery located in Islington, a short walk from Angel station.

This lovely nursery is looking for a qualified level 2 or above Nursery Nurse to join their outstanding team in a permanent position. You will be working within a team of nursery practitioners and required to maintain good communication skills amongst your team and ensure practice is reviewed on a regular basis to actively promote and support the safeguarding of children. Follow the policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm.

You will have the opportunity to formulate and operate a program of activities suitable to the age range of children allocated to your team. You will also be working with the parents for all children to achieve full integration within the nursery setting.

You will also have the opportunity to give physical or emotional guidance as appropriate, work with a number of key children including preforming regular observations and writing reports on the child's learning, development and progress.

The working hours for this position will be 8 hours per day on a variable shift basis, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.30am - 7 pm with a total of 40 hours per week.

Key Requirements for this role include:

• Detailed knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
• Knowledge of Ofsted guidelines and Welfare Requirements
• A detailed understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Relevant experience of caring for age range 0 to 5 years is desired
• Knowledge of the key person systems and record keeping is desired
• Ability to build positive relationships with children and families
• Ability to communicate and work in partnership with families and carers
• Strong teamwork and collaboration qualities
• Good written and verbal skills for report writing, maintaining child records and providing feedback to parents/carers and colleagues
