Job Advert: Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Primary School (Permanent Role)

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Career Teacher ready to begin your teaching journey in a supportive and inspiring school environment? We are seeking a passionate ECT to join our welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Watford on a permanent basis from September 2026.

The Role

As an ECT, you will:

• Deliver engaging, creative, and inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum
• Work closely with experienced mentors and phase leaders to support your induction
• Develop strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and school events
• Receive full ECT support in line with statutory induction requirements

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2026
• Has a passion for primary education and child-centred learning
• Demonstrates strong communication and classroom management skills
• Is reflective, enthusiastic, and eager to develop professionally
• Works well as part of a supportive and collaborative team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
