We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in the Leeds area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who can inspire students to develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging PE lessons, encourage participation across all abilities, and contribute to the wider sporting life of the school.

The Role

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Promote participation, resilience, teamwork, and personal development
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, fixtures, and sporting events where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A passion for sport, physical wellbeing, and student development
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience teaching GCSE PE
  • Ability to deliver a range of sports and physical activities
  • Experience supporting school sports teams and extracurricular clubs
  • Knowledge of health, fitness, and wellbeing programmes
  • Thrive training or a willingness to undertake further professional development
