Love sport? Love helping young people succeed? This could be your perfect match.

Not every victory happens on a sports field.

Sometimes it's a student joining in for the first time. Sometimes it's building confidence, improving teamwork, or helping a young person discover what they're capable of.

We're looking for a passionate and energetic PE Teacher to join a specialist SEN school, supporting pupils who learn differently and thrive with the right encouragement.

The Role

This isn't your typical PE teaching role.

You'll be working with pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Using sport, physical activity, and outdoor learning, you'll help pupils build confidence, develop social skills, improve wellbeing, and experience success both inside and outside the classroom.

What you'll be doing

Delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons

Adapting activities to suit a range of abilities and needs

Encouraging teamwork, resilience, and self-confidence

Supporting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Creating a safe environment where every pupil can participate and achieve

Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams

We're looking for someone who:

✔ Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent teaching qualification

✔ Has experience teaching PE or delivering sports programmes

✔ Understands or has an interest in SEN and inclusive education

✔ Builds positive relationships with young people

✔ Brings energy, patience, and creativity to every lesson

✔ Believes every pupil deserves the opportunity to succeed

Why work in SEN?

Because progress looks different here.

It's not always about personal bests or league tables.

It's about helping a pupil join a game they once avoided. Building confidence where there was anxiety. Creating moments that remind young people what they're capable of.

Those wins matter.
