Inspire confidence, teamwork and a lifelong love of movement

Are you a PE teacher who believes physical education is about more than just sport? A welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Bristol is looking for a full-time PE Teacher to join a supportive department that champions wellbeing, resilience and participation for every student.

This is a school where PE plays a vital role in developing confident, healthy young people, building character, teamwork and positive habits that last far beyond the school gates.

Why this school?

• A PE Curriculum That Builds Confidence and Character
The PE curriculum is broad, inclusive and designed to engage all students, from competitive team sports to individual activities that promote fitness, wellbeing and self-belief. Lessons focus on skill development, cooperation and enjoyment, not just performance.

• An Inclusive, Supportive School Community
Students come from a wide range of backgrounds and are encouraged to take part, challenge themselves and feel proud of their progress. PE is a space where confidence grows, effort is celebrated and everyone belongs.

• A Collaborative and Positive Department Culture
You’ll work within a team that plans together, supports one another and shares a genuine commitment to high-quality PE. Ongoing professional development and coaching help staff continue to develop their practice.

• Facilities That Support Active Learning
The school offers strong sports facilities and resources, enabling varied, engaging lessons and a full extra-curricular programme.

• Opportunities Beyond the Curriculum
Fixtures, clubs, enrichment activities and whole-school events are a key part of school life, giving students opportunities to represent their school, develop leadership skills and enjoy being active.

The role

• Teaching PE across relevant key stages
• Delivering inclusive, engaging lessons that promote participation and wellbeing
• Supporting students to develop confidence, teamwork and resilience
• Contributing to extra-curricular sport and wider school life

What we’re looking for

• A passionate PE teacher who motivates and inspires all learners
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred
• A positive, team-focused approach
• Commitment to inclusion, wellbeing and student development

Salary: Paid to scale
